Instrumental Rock – Industry Instrumentals with Hooks
What makes a good instrumental rock song anyway? I mean, anyone can throw a rhythm down and drop a catchy melody on it. But the problem is finding a producer that actually has their head in the game… In fact, a lot of the rock instrumentals floating around out there don’t even have guitars and actual drums in them. The problem is, without understanding the emotion that you want to convey in a song, it’s like, why even bother? The result will be one-sided and bland.
And a boring instrumental is the last thing you want to sing to if you are going to pour your heart into something…
If you were looking for the perfect instrumental rock song to really compliment your project, we have hundreds of professionally produced, high-quality instrumentals in out beat store for you to check out! Just check out the samples below and I’m sure you will agree. We are connected with top producers from all over the world, some who are signed and working professionally, and others that have just been working their craft long enough to have become amazing.

Our Evaluation Process
Every instrumental that gets added to our store gets evaluated first for several quality points that have to be met in order to qualify. We check our instrumentals for basic things like song structure, mixing levels, and overall quality, but we also dig a little bit deeper. Here, I’ll give you an example of how we look at music… In a study by Cornell University’s David Ronan, Joshua D. Reiss, Hatice Gunes this past Mar 29, 2018, they found that having a high level of skill in mix engineering adds to the experience of the listener in many cases. In fact, getting the right kinesthetic responses from your crowd is one of the many ways you can tell if they are enjoying your music. That being said, we aim for music that you can feel!
- Here is our official checklist:
- Overall Sound Quality
- Proper Mixing and Mastering
- Instruments, Samples, and FX Quality
- Good Song Structure
In the end, you want something that will compliment your lyrics and the mood that you want to envoke with your song. What you don’t want, is some choppy, half-hearted noise that will be a stick in the mud when it hits the hands of whoever hears it. Some of the most common mistakes producers make with instrumentals, are overdoing effects and samples, not mixing and mastering correctly, (Gain staging namely) and using, or not knowing when they have over-altered or overcompressed samples. At Def 2 Deffer Music, we will be getting more pronounced every step of the way. Our aim is simply to cut out the B.S. in music… I, personally am enrolled in the New Artist Model, and production classes, and I will be publishing topics as I finish them in school. We have a ton of respect for the music industry and for aspiring artists, and our goal is to help them succeed…
